overview and reflection of the course

I have looked back on my past 2 years on this course, in my first year i was set out on becoming a costume designer for t.v and film. since then i have been on work experience and done my research to change my mind about the practicality of it all. it would have been my dream job and would have enjoyed doing it as a career, but i found out that i wouldnt be guaranteed a set income and it would be extremely competitive to get in to, thinking about long term and the future, meant that it would be difficult and stressful. I am happy that i realised whilst still on the course and i didnt try to get a job afterwards as i would have been in a difficult situation. I am happy that i had the time to think about what else i would like to do and start in that direction by volunteering for work experience at a primary school and start on my homelearning course along side my degree, because when i finish my course i will then be a qualified teaching assistant and i can get a job with that. This course has helped me put alot of things in to perspective and i have an idea of how i am going to get ahead in life, i also feel comfortable enough to come back and ask for help from all my tutors if needed.
